2025 and 2026 WSCF-Europe and Evangelische Mission Weltweit (EMW) implemented Mission Diversity. The project empowered churches and faith-based youth organisations to address discrimination, promote inclusion, and engage critically with racism, diversity, and decolonisation.
Through eight national workshops in Finland, Germany, Italy, and Poland, an international Winter School, and a final dialogue conference, the project brought together young people from diverse backgrounds. Using non-formal education methods, participants explored discrimination, shared lived experiences, and developed practical skills to foster more inclusive church communities.
The project produced a facilitation toolbox, practical recommendations for inclusive churches, and strengthened a network of young leaders equipped to continue this work in their local contexts. Reaching more than 35,000 people through social media and church publications, Mission Diversity demonstrated that lasting institutional change is built through sustained learning, dialogue, and practical action.
