Appeal – Avoid violence & resolve the crisis at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University through negotiations and dialogue. In response to the violence generated by the protests in Hong Kong, which started in March 2019 as a result of what was seen as China’s attempt to undermine the autonomy of the region, WSCF Asia-Pacific and SCM Hong Kong wrote a joint urgent appeal. The appeal called for an end to the violence, particularly for the clashes at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a peaceful reconciliation.
