SUMMARY:“Mission Diversity” - Winter school
DESCRIPTION:This youth-led training will bring together young leaders from across Europe for five days of engaging\, interactive learning on how to become effective anti-discrimination advocates in their churches and communities. \nTogether\, we’ll explore how racism shows up in religious settings\, how language shapes power\, how different forms of discrimination overlap\, and how knowledge and privilege influence whose voices are heard. The programme combines expert input with hands-on methods like role play\, real-life case discussions\, creative reflection and practical skill-building. \n\nOn the final day\, participants will host an open conference with a keynote speaker\, inviting church leaders into the conversation and encouraging them to take responsibility for change. By the end\, participants will feel more confident in recognising and challenging racism\, hate speech and microaggressions\, building stronger alliances for justice and creating safer\, more inclusive spaces for everyone. \n📅 When: 9 – 13 March 2026 \n✈️ Travel days: 8 & 14 March 2026\n📍 Where: Hamburg\, Germany\n👥 Who: Young people aged 18–35 from Italy\, Germany\, Finland and Poland – applications from youth in all Council of Europe member states are welcome! \nApplication deadline 25 January 2026 \n  \nThe participation fee for the training is €50\, which covers accommodation\, meals\, and the program. \nTravel expenses will be reimbursed if the journey is planned in the most economical way possible. \nWSCF-Europe aims to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent anyone from participating in this training\, therefore\, we are also committed to supporting those who need financial assistance. \nPlease apply through this application form. \n\nFor any questions\, contact: conference@wscf-europe.org \nThe training is supported by Otto Per Mille of the Waldensian Church
