SUMMARY:Join Our Online Focus Group: Mental Health in the Current World
DESCRIPTION:Recognizing the unique challenges faced by Christian youth\, we are excited to announce an upcoming online focus group aimed at creating a safe and supportive space for dialogue and reflection. \nArmed conflicts often exacerbate the climate crisis\, leading to environmental destruction and displacement of communities. When the climate changes a lot\, there might not be enough of some things like land and water. This can make people fight more over them. Also\, when politics get more uncertain and dangerous\, these fights can get worse\, making people more angry and leading to more violence. \nBut understanding these complex interactions is key to finding sustainable solutions. \nLet’s pause and consider how we can work towards peace\, environmental sustainability\, and political stability hand in hand. \nJoin the conversation on how we can address these interconnected challenges. \nOur focus group will be led by an experienced facilitator with backgrounds in mental health advocacy and human rights education and by WSCF Europe members. They will ensure that the discussion remains respectful\, inclusive\, and productive. \nWhy Participate? \n\nSafe Space: This is an opportunity to engage in open and honest dialogue in a safe and supportive environment.\nVoice and Impact: Your insights and experiences can contribute to a better understanding of the challenges faced by Christian youth in the realm of mental health and education.\nCommunity Building: Connect with like-minded peers who share similar concerns and aspirations for promoting mental well-being.\n\nRegistration:\nParticipation in the focus group is free\, but registration is required to receive the Zoom meeting link. To register\, please visit this link and fill out the brief form. \nThis activity is part of our annual work plan “Share the Care”\, funded by the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe and is supported by Otto Per Mille of the Waldensian Church. \nThe work plan focuses on mental health as a human right and its overarching aim is to contribute to empowering young people from different European backgrounds to participate in pluralistic democracy\, to promote human rights\, and to build inclusive societies for all. \nThis project is designed\, implemented\, and evaluated by young people for young people.

SUMMARY:Join Our Online Focus Group: Mental Health and Gender Identity
DESCRIPTION:Recognizing the unique challenges faced by Christian youth\, we are excited to announce an upcoming online focus group aimed at creating a safe and supportive space for dialogue and reflection. Whether it’s navigating societal expectations\, struggling with identity\, or facing discrimination\, our mental well-being can be impacted. But here’s the thing: we’re not alone. \nTogether\, we can create a space where we can be heard\, understood\, and supported\, because the truth is that our identities are valid\, and our experiences matter. Let’s pause and acknowledge the strength it takes to navigate a world that isn’t always accepting of who we are. \nBecause when we shine a light on these challenges\, we’re not just raising awareness\, we’re advocating for change. \nLet’s break the stigma\, challenge stereotypes\, and embrace our unique journeys. SUMMARY:Join Our Online Focus Group: Exploring Mental Health and Education among Christian Youth
DESCRIPTION:In an increasingly fast-paced and demanding world\, the intersection of mental health and education has become a critical concern\, particularly among young people. \nRecognizing the unique challenges faced by Christian youth\, we are excited to announce an upcoming online focus group aimed at creating a safe and supportive space for dialogue and reflection. \nThe primary goal of this focus group is twofold: firstly\, to provide a platform for young people to openly share their experiences related to mental health and education within a Christian context. Secondly\, to delve into how educational systems impact mental well-being and how mental health\, in turn\, affects the fundamental right to education. SUMMARY:Intergenerational Eco-Justice Advocacy Academy: Connect\, Communicate\, Change
DESCRIPTION:Dear Friends of WSCF Europe\, \nIn recent years young people have been inspired to engage in climate justice and advocate for a greener future. This happened after years of pre-existing advocacy and climate actions\, led by other generations with different advocacy approaches. In this WSCF Advocacy Academy we will address building intergenerational alliances in advocating for eco-justice. How can we learn from other generations engaging in climate actions? How can we create a broader dialogue on advocating for climate justice led by young people? What is our role as Christians in approaching Eco-Justice? \nFrom 3 – 7 May 2023\, we will be hosting an academy in Agape Ecumenical Center\, Italy\, on “Intergenerational Eco-Justice Advocacy Academy: Connect\, Communicate\, Change”. If you are interested in this topic\, ready to look beyond your own context and motivated to learn about possible actions\, fill in the application form below by 20th of March and join us! \nHere you can find a draft of the program that is awaiting you. \nIf you have any questions of concerns\, please feel free to get in touch with us at \nThis academy is supported by Otto per Mille of the Waldensian Church of Italy.
