SUMMARY:Ecumenical International Youth Day 2025
DESCRIPTION:Rooted in Hope: Nurturing Faith and Mental Well-being in the Face of Climate Crisis (Eco-Anxiety)  \nIn a time of escalating environmental crisis; from global warming\, wildfires\, intense floods\, and many more\, young people around the world are increasingly experiencing eco-anxiety—a deep emotional and spiritual response to ecological degradation and climate uncertainty. What will be the church’s response and how individuals and groups can continue the initiative despite different dilemmas? \nThis growing climate anxiety is also impacting personal life. Understandably\, many young people feel upset\, worried\, and angry about the state of the world\, and they are actively expressing their dissent in hopes of driving political and policy change. To amplify their voices\, youth advocates around the globe are turning to media and digital technologies to communicate their concerns and encourage others to join their cause.  \nThis year\, we are highlighting a global Christian initiative to recognize eco-anxiety\, in support of the Ecumenical Decade of Climate Justice\, explore biblical foundations for creation care\, and encourage youth to act in faith\, resilience\, and unity. Through education\, spiritual formation\, storytelling\, and advocacy\, we aim to cultivate a generation of hopeful\, faith-driven climate leaders. \nDates: \n12th August- 3pm to 4:30pm CEST \n13th August- 3pm to 4pm CEST \nRegister for the two-day event here
